Yom Kippur and the celebration of Atonement amidst today's news

Today is the observation of Yom Kippur that began at sundown yesterday.

While it started as a high holy day throughout Israel as a day of repentance with time to connect with God and offer sacrifice for sin....followers of the risen Christ Jesus can also reflect today, on the Day of Atonement, in how much his sacrifice of love means to us.

What blessings to our soul increase when we draw near to God and know His Name...

What it means to neglect our common 'five afflictions' of physical senses just so to hear His voice...

The words of Daniel the prophet spoke about the peace-gift we can receive amidst today's turmoil, because the Anointed One has come to us bringing everlasting righteousness.....that we could through His sacrifice have a personal relationship with our Saviour & friend.
Grace and Peace unto you, friends.

Word of the Day: Restraint

Restraint – Knowledge that remains unchecked with wisdom is like flying without restraint.

Muhammed Ali once was approached when there was massive air turbulence and he didn’t obey and buckle his seatbelt.   He told the flight attendant  “Superman don’t need no seatbelt.” The flight attendant fired back, “Superman don’t need no airplane either!”

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

Blessings on those who use restraint in leadership and command to demonstrate wisdom in action.   Pass along the WOTD and bless someone else.

Word of the Day: Good Laughter

Good Laughter – Light humor in everyday work eases tension and may temporarily lighten your load.  What’s better is laughter that comes in the end from joy in the face of going through tough working times.

Luke 6:21-25
“Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied.“Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.
“But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation.“Woe to you who are full now, for you shall be hungry.“Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.

Share some encouragement and good laughter alone with someone you work with today.  Blessings on those who do so and pass along the WOTD.

Word of the Day: Discipline

Discipline – taking your personal traits to task.. spending the long and arduous time to make one’s work for our soldiers & community exemplary and reliable takes integrity and discipline.
How is your personal discipline today?

Titus 2:11-14  For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

May your day be fair with good work and discipline today.   Blessings for those who pass along the WOTD.   For notes on how to boost discipline in work when morale is low, click here.

Grace & peace to you,
